Painting of steel constructions
For industrial painting of constructions, a high-pressure airless painting machine is used. Primers and paints from the most famous paint manufacturers: Tikkurila Coatings Oy, International, Malchem, Hempel are used for painting. We paint in heated rooms, thus ensuring the required quality.
After painting the constructions with an airless machine, the required durability of the metal surface and the required corrosion class are ensured.
Preparation of steel constructions for painting
All ISO standards requires surface cleaning up to Sa 2½ (or other) cleanliness class before covering metal surfaces with a protective coating.
Good preparation of the metal surface before painting is very important for a high-quality protective coating. The most effective method of metal surface preparation is blast cleaning with metal shots (blasting). Shot blasting is the cleaning of a metal surface by blowing metal shot at high pressure towards the metal surface. The combination of compressed air and abrasive cleans the surface from dirt and roughens the surface, which improves the adhesion of the protective coating to the metal. In order to ensure good adhesion of the anti-corrosion coating to the surface of metal structures, we perform Sa 2½ cleanliness class (or such as is specified in the project).
